She was standing in the corner
Nobody looks...nobody cares
Nobody sees her beautiful neck
The curves that she could share
She'd been around awhile
Some nights sweet...others hard
She had the scars to show
She'd traveled near and far
Sat in the lap of more than one man
Learned to moan just right
Still smelled like smoke and beer
She could stay awake all night
Some nights she'd get too high
Sometimes a little low
Whether it's cold or when it's hot
His fingers could make her go
Sometimes she'd just lay still
Sometimes she'd scream out loud
Sometimes she'd cry and cry
But she'd always make him proud
One day her man got old
His hands too old to please
He had to let her go
For someone else to tease
Now she's old her lustre gone
Who knows all her body went through
And the young ones are so pretty
But can they do what she could do
She remembers there was a time
When they wanted her to hold
When everyone looked at her
Before she got so old
She's standing in the corner
Feeling like an old wreck
She still remembers his hands
Like lips upon her neck
She's standing in the corner
Yearning for one more
Wishing she was more than
Just a pawn shop guitar
